Air Jordan 12 – Reverse Taxi

Reaching to the tail end of the year 2019 we have Air Jordan 12 surfacing to give away the Air Jordan 12 Reverse Taxi colorway. As a direct inversion of the Taxi colorway released back in November 1996. The new colorway will hit the store shelves by November 9th of this year with a price tag of $190.

Air Jordan 12 is an iconic pair from the classic sneakers of Jordan history which gave new direction in style and technology to shoe designing. Designer Tinker Hatfield borrowed the shoe design from the Japanese Nisshoki shoe and rising sun flag. Even though the pair was a lowkey in the Jordan line the features embedded in it were unique. The shoe firmness and construction are most praised among the other classic silhouettes and also regarded as the most durable and sturdy shoes from the Jordan legacy. The Zoom air unit technology was the signature touch brought by Air Jordan 12 classics to the air Jordan silhouettes and another change that makes the Air Jordan 12 to stand out is the Jordan magical number. Like many other silhouettes the Air Jordan 12 featured the number 23 on the shoe but this time it was on the tongue and the tag read “TWO 3”
The original release of the pair was way back in 1996 to 1997. Later many retro collections followed. It is also noted that Air Jordan 12 has many highly limited colorways such as the Air Jordan 12 x PSNY collaboration, Wings colorway that was limited to 12,000 pairs and the OVO collaboration.

In 2019 Air Jordan 12 is again coming up with some of its retro collection releases. In this summer season, Air Jordan 12 makes a comeback to excite its sneakerheads through an OG colorway which is a direct inversion of the Taxi colorway released back in 1996. So the classic silhouette is expanding its Taxi series by revamping the colorway.

The shoe has borrowed the overlay palette from the earlier taxi colorway. The upper of the sneaker is black suede with two signature gold eyes lays towards the collar. A white contrasting tone appears on the midsole while the black mudguard remains untouched from the old edition. Air Jordan 12 signature Zoom air unit technology is embedded in these shoe midsole for additional cushioning and comfort as carried from the classic pair. Other embellishments include Red Jumpman logo branding on the tongue at the top and a tag of “TWO 3” below from the classic silhouette gives the pair a finishing touch. The shoe release is scheduled and will be available in the store shelves by November 9th with a price tag of $190.
