Jordan is most famous for its legacy behind and rarity, but nowadays many Jordan Brand collaborations have become increased and each of the collab brand or person has its own sneaker design. These sneakers are well hyped in the retro market, also fans will be very excited to certain retros when there favorite celebrities releases along with Jordan tag and keeping some scarcity around Air Jordan collaboration makes it collectible as well. Some of the collabs are so rare, which is worth $10,000 or more in many cases. Also, the collab between Air Jordan and any other celebrities or entity is very selective then Nike does, and hence the Jordan Sneaker became more collectible.
The first ever collaboration is Undefeated’s Air Jordan 4 in 2005, a militaristic in addition to the classic sneaker, also came up with matching accessories. The new collab legacy also came to Eminem, with unique Air Jordan 4 design and extremely rare. Also, Eminem on the Air Jordan line came up with Air Jordan 2 retro three years later. Levi’s x Air Jordan 1 23/501
Michael Jordan’s first partnership with Levi’s natural fit denim cloth Jeans finally came to the shelf on only Nike’s Tire Zero stores. Released on March 1st of 2008. The elephant print with red leather and Levi’s branded buttons made it so unique and collectible among fans. The total of around 2,223 pair released till now, along with matchable 501 Jeans and T-shirt.
OVO x Air Jordan 10 & 12
Air Jordan 10s and 12s came up with Drake’s private record label in 2014, but their release was slow. Initially, Air Jordan OVO 10 came, but next release came after a year. Later Jordan OVO 12 came to retail in 2016 and 2017.
Eminem x Air Jordan 2
The Eminem’s ‘The Way I Am’ Air Jordan 2 was released on December 18th, 2008 to celebrate the release of Eminem’s new album “The way I Am”. Eminem x came up with his hometown of Detroit area code “313”, an exact 313 pairs of the shoe were made a sale in stores. The colorways are so unique that the lyrics can be seen on top of the shoes.
Undertow x Air Jordan 2010
The Undertow released in 2010 created by the trio of artists. The only one pair was auctioned off and raised money to charity. All the money raised donated to St. Mary’s Home for Boys.
Dave White x Air Jordan 1 ‘Wings for the Future’
The Air Jordan and Dave White, a famous British Artist created a masterpiece ‘Wings for the Future’ Air Jordan 1. The sneakers are limited to 23 pairs and raised around $23,000 for charity. The toe box is painted gold and the shoe is designed to resemble an American flag. Later in 2012 on NBA All-star break, another Jordan which is similar to 2011 Dave White edition but with Black toe and elephant print released which can be seen in retail store nowadays as well.
Vashtie x Air Jordan 2
The “Vashtie” released on October 2nd, 2010 design by Vashtie Kola a New York-based director, artist, and designer became the first woman to collaborate with the Air Jordan Brand. The lavender nubuck finish looks so cool. The shoe released along with promo video and Vashtie’s creative label.
TEDxPortland x Air Jordan 1 ‘Perfect’
Exclusively designed for TedxPortland the Air Jordan 1 as the “Perfect” shoe. There were two colorways, “Black” and “White” were made and only available at the TEDxPortland event. A limited number of 230 pairs were produced and auctioned in the special events of TedxPortland.
Undertow x Jordan Super.Fly
The Undertow crew again released super.fly to celebrate their Hit Rewindies art show. The Limited edition with only 16 pairs the Jordan sneaker with matching accessories like a sock, and snapback was auctioned off. The specialty of Super.fly is each pair is custom made.
Public School x Air Jordan 10
New York-based fashion label Public School came up with Jordan 10 after successful Air Jordan 1 collaboration. The exclusive colorways built with premium leather and Public School logo on the tongues and heel tabs can be seen. The two colorways for friends and family only as of now may be seen in Flight 23 store soon.
SoleFly x Jordan Spizike
A Miami-based boutique SoleFly collab with Jordan Brand and created Miami Hurricanes-themed Spizike on 2012. The shoe never released for the public and was limited to friends, family, and DJ Khaled. These are some of the rare pieces of Jordan’s.
Don C x Air Jordan 1 ‘BHM’
Jordan Brand teamed up with celebrity designer Don C for this Air Jordan 1 and snapback pack to celebrate the 37th Anniversary of Black History Month. Since only 37 pairs made, the sneakers were auctioned off on eBay. Also, the matching snapback kept inside the box.
Dave White x Jordan Melo M9
Jordan Brand tied with Carmelo Anthony in 2004. The design was made to honor Carmelo Anthony’s Olympic record 37-point performance against Nigeria in the 2012 Olympic Games.
Public School x Air Jordan 1 Retro ‘PSNY’
Designed by Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, a New York-based fashion label Public School started there Jordon touchback in 2014. The “PS” can be seen on heel and “PSNY” at the back of the tongue. Initially release only at the New York’s Flight 23 stores.
Macklemore x Jordan Melo M10 ‘King Salmon’
Macklemore worked on the “King Salmon” Melo M10 for the show. The colorway was inspired by the Seattle fish market staple.
Sole Collector x Jordan CMFT 11 SC Premier
Jordan’s CMFT 11 SC Premier released on October of 2010, Sole Collector featured edition sold in the Nike Santa Monica hosted by Sole Collector. The design was inspired by the Jordan 11 model and also shoe is featured with carbon fibers shank. A custom made synthetic carbon fiber box gives away in the event.
SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 ‘Lotto’
The Air Jordan 3 “Lotto” inspired by Florida lottery. The shoe features elephant print and the shoe is made for only family and friends. Unfortunately, Air Jordan 3 “Lotto” never released for public.
Slam Dunk x Jordan
Japanese artist and writer of Slam Dunk (31 volume basketball sports themed Japanese manga series) cartoon series, Takehiko Inoue, teamed up with the Jordan Brand to design two of his own. The Air Jordan 6 with graphics from the series printed on the shoe. Icy blue tongue and outsole can be seen as well.
Lance Mountain x Nike SB Air Jordan 1
Lance Mountain’s came up with high ankle coverage, and Nike Air technology quickly became the choice of Skaters. The colorways released in black and white with a mismatched blue/red sole. Lance Mountain showed how skaters mismatched and painted their Air Jordan 1 pairs back in 1985 to show their own identity as skaters, where most people are basketball fans.

In an auction, it sold for $30,000, where money is raised for charity by Marshall Foundation.
