Air Jordan 1 was always the candy of the eye for its fanatics all around the world since its conception in the 1980s. Designed by Peter Moore the Jordan 1 was released originally from 1985 to 1986. Even though in the past three decades Air Jordan has made quite a lot of releases, Air Jordan 1 remains the crownless prince above all the editions. The sneaker first debuted in the court on November 1984 in its rebellious signature colorway of red and black, It had a bitter beginning with a ban on the court for the vibrant colorway. But later on the ban was made into a marketing strategy by the brand and the shoe performed well in the markets. Jordan 1 after its initial run in the 80’s period it started its retro age in 1994 following the retirement of the legend. The sneaker again made its comeback with the black cat in 2001 and also started to premiere its mid-top collection. The brand also came up with re-releasing the AJ1 with its original high cut.

1. Air Jordan 1 Retro Legends of Summer

In the year 2013 Jordan brand along with the hip hop pop star Jay z and the American singer Justin Timberlake celebrated their Legends of the Summer Tour with a special collection of the brand. It was a limited edition that was circulated among the family and friend circles. While most of the sneakers in the series had all the red color treatment only this one got an important cameo from black on the upper which was straight beaming with reflectivity.

2. Air Jordan 1 High Og Patent Leather

The sneaker was released in the year 2003 as part of the patent pack the black and gold colorway. In the past decade, it made its iconic status in the industry. The increasing demand forced Jordan to remaster the edition and released in 2013. With some changes, the colorway was reintroduced with the perfect OG status with high top cut design and Nike air branding with the addition of translucent gum sole and stark white midsole.

3. Dave White X Air Jordan 1 Retro Wings of The Future

From the early 2000’s we can see that Dave white is associated with the Air Jordan brand. His touch of painting on the sneakers like Air Jordan 4 and Air Max 95 was very trending in the online sneaker market. Dave worked with the Euro sportswear retailer size as he was based in the UK. In the Jumpman collaboration of two consecutive years, 2011 and 2012 Dave White’s profile grew to its peak. The sneaker featured the classic Jordan brand color scheme with a blend of black, sport red, white and cement grey. Even the elephant print was also incarnated on the forefoot lace strap. The use of artist-grade canvas on the tongue, white upper with printed texture paint, wings logo embroidered sock liner and laces is the icing on the cake. The fund raised by the shoes was given to Jordan brand’s wings of future charity.

4. Air Jordan 1 High OG Shattered Backboard

As Jordan brand has come up with many colorways of its release as a commemoration of the legends iconic moments in the court. This sneaker is again set to give homage to the exemplary moment when Michael Jordan shattered the backboard while dunking during a Nike exhibition Tour in 1985. The sneaker features a smooth black leather base accented by orange overlays paired with the perforated toe boxes. Other embellishments of the shoes include the midfoot swooshes, wing motifs at the ankle and the eye-catchy Nike Air tongue tags. The contrasting black rubber outsole completes the appealing look of the shoes. The release date is October 4th of 2019 with a retail price of $160.  

5. Just Don X Air Jordan 1 High Strap BHM

In 2011 Don C a streetwear designer and Air Jordan brand came up together to make a Jordan sneaker called the Just Don x Air Jordan 1. Recently they again teamed up for the limited edition of Air Jordan 2. In 2013 Just Don and Air Jordan auctioned their first sneaker which was released two years back. They released 37 pairs to celebrate the black history month. This time the kick flaunts Nikes 2015 black history month print embossed across its leather upper. Black silhouette along the high tops collar, tongue and colored Jumpman logo paired with gold accents on the straps buckle and shoelace lips give the finishing touch. 39 pairs are released as the brand is celebrating the 39th anniversary of the black history month.

6. Nike SB X Air Jordan 1 High OG

It’s a piece of great news for the sneakerheads that Nike SB and Jordan brand are teaming for another kick in this new year as per the brand the sneaker arrives at May 25th, 2019 at a retail price of $175. Borrowing the canvas from 2014’s Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG the drop features a choice of two colorways one with a blend of court purple and university gold while the second one comes in light bone and black. Replacement of the Nike Air branding with the Nike SB branding is a stand out feature for the edition. These shoes have taken some inspiration from the Lance Mountain with wear away uppers revealing a second colorway beneath which can be only identified through close look.

7. Off White X Air Jordan 1 High OG

The sneaker is a special edition collaboration of the brand with the designer Virgil Abloh’s Italian fashion label off white. Three colorways are released yet red, white and powder blue. Inspired by the original UNC colorway the shoe coupled with the white and powder blue together on the upper length with subtle hints of orange throughout. The kick was released on June 19, 2018, priced $190.

8. Air Jordan 1 High OG Games Royal

When it comes to basketball royalty it’s only the legend Michael Jordan. The Royal 1 is a real OG member with the Nike Air branding and the from the top designing table. The sneaker features premium tumbled leather, Nike Air branding on the tongue and the insole. It was released on March 24, 2018, with a retail price of $160.

9. Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Banned

Air Jordan 1 High OG Banned returns in the redesigned form to celebrate the release of the Air Jordan XXXI. The sneaker flaunts in tumbled red leather with Nike Air branding on the tongue and the insole, original Chicago Bulls-inspired colorway which was banned by the NBA for its rebellious vibrant color black, varsity red and white. The kick was released on September 3rd, 2016 with a price tag of $160.

10. Air Jordan 1 High Metallic Pack

Air Jordan 1 High Metallic Pack is another member of the high-end collection. It comes in two pairs. One pair features metallic silver on the swoosh, red on the overlays and branded wings and white outsole. The other one flaunts in blue with metallic gold branding paired with a blue outsole. Both have white panels and midsole in common. The release date, as well as the price, is not yet published.

11. Air Jordan 1 High OG Black Toe

Classic black toe colorways are always on the limelight as the brand releases its new editions. It depicts the OG features in them intact. The premium leather is used at the base, while a combo of red leather and black nubuck are used in the high top version providing the accents. Other embellishments include jump man logo on the black tongue, a tonal stitched ball, and a wings logo on the heel. The lace holder of the tongue offers an extra tint of gym red. It was released on April 2019 at a retail price of $110.

12. Air Jordan 1 Retro Fragment

Air Jordan 1 Retro fragment is a collaboration between the Jordan brand and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s label fragment design. The first release was a limited edition with very few pairs on 2014. Now it is about to release again with more resemblance to the Black toe colorway, Bright red on the anchoring tone, stark white on the tongue and Nike Air branding on the tongue pairing with the fragment design embossed logos at the heels.

13. Levi’s X Nike Air Jordan 1 Mid

It is a brand remade edition. Jordan Brand already has a sneaker dropped with pairing indigo denim Levis with the Nike Air Jordan 4. In this sneaker, Air Jordan 1 is used as a base sneaker and redesigned using the Levis trucker jacket by recreating the upper using the repurposed denim. The iconic levis tag graces the heel of the left shoe and the front pockets of the jacket cap the tongue.

14. Air Jordan 1 High 25th Anniversary

Air Jordan 1 High 25th-anniversary sneaker is solely made for the inner celebration of the brand as its celebrating its unprecedented position in the sneaker world for the last two decades. The sneaker features a mix of grey nubuck and metallic silver foil as upper and depicts the same interlocking 23/25 logo found on the 2010 released air Jordan. The date of release is not yet announced.

15. Air Jordan 1 High OG Neutral Grey

Neutral grey is a high top silhouette releasing on 2019 line up. The sneaker is a combination of soft and shaggy grey suede with premium tumbled black leather putting contrast vibrant colors of orange and red around the collar. It has a rear piece of text embellishment that reads SP 19 AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH OG which is a special kind of branding that gives the final touch to the new Air Jordan 1 drop.
